My oldest summer memory is of getting out of school in the scorching heat and suckling on a bar of icy orange flavored candy bar that costed 2 Rupees and lasted the ride from my school to home. And ever since then ice golas and sticks are all that summers were made of until Cornettos came in and fancied the game and then there are Natural flavors, elaborate chocolate works and Ice Ninja is another feather in the cap with fresh ice cream rolls.
There are some crazy flavors on their list ergo – mojito, paan and berries. We started with evil berry – blueberry, strawberry and raspberry. The three berries, fresh cow milk and no additive sugar topped with raspberry syrup and candy bits. This is super fresh and not overtly sweet.
Ferrorilicous – a Ferrero Rocher flavored chocolaty favourite drizzled over with chocolate sauce and chocolate chips – a chocolate heaven for sure.
They also have some exciting variants – the cake ice cream includes a pound cake with a flavor of your choice – we went for a chocolate fudge. The pound cake adds a matte texture to the ice cream rolls adding a break to the creamy monotony.
And that is not all – they also offer booze infused ice cream sorbets – they have rum soaked raisins for winters and a refreshing orange affair for the summers. The punchy sorbet is delicious but the pungency sort of grows on you after a while and make you want another punch of flavours.
Ice Ninja has super exciting flavors, they update their menu every couple of months and use as many fresh flavours and seasonal fruits as they can. And what’s more, the whole deal is pretty economical considering their portions.
