Cal-Check with The Calorie Kitchen

All the fitness freaks behold, because Bomiso gym and spa has a guilt free treat for you. The high powered gym lunched a healthy cafe just a month back and the response they are receiving is overwhelming. Their regulars include the health freaks that hit their gym and the occasional gourmand who craves for healthier options. They are also starting delivery shortly so you can order from the hassle free. Customizations are available as per your taste and health requirements and they also plan to get all their dishes tested for a more comprehensive menu to help their customers choose from.

We started with their detox juices – Iron Man and Fit mint, hummus chicken wrap, pancakes and chicken protein punch salad. The Iron Man – apple, beetroot, carrot and mint – and Fit Bit – Pineapple, Orange, Spinach, Mint and lime – the flavors are fresh to boot and palatable at the same time.

Protein Punch Salad – broccoli, corn, asparagus, spinach, zucchini tomatoes and grilled chicken in a classic Ceaser salad dressing topped with black olives.

They serve all day breakfast and we tried their stack of pancakes – whole wheat fluffy pancakes layered with bananas, topped with blueberries and maple syrup infused with honey. The pancakes gave us all kinds of American Diner feels without giving a second thought about it to our gut.

Hummus chicken wrap – iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and onions wrapped in a wheat tortilla with beetroot served with hummus and tzatziki – both the dips are super fresh and totally delish. The vegetarian counterpart is made with spinach and wheat, but you can always switch 🙂

Broccoli and almond soup served with a piece of bread.

Four seasons pizza with a whole wheat crunchy base, crunchy broccoli, mushrooms, corn and olives with a healthy doze of cheese.

Wholewheat penne with mixed sauce pasta and pesto pasta – The pasta was not done al dente, but close enough. The pesto sauce was creamy and very palatable, the mixed sauce needed a little more improvement. Served with a slice of fresh garlic bread, the pasta was very delicious.

Protein nut cake – no sinful indulges here, but a wheat based high protein cake loaded with nuts, accompanied by maple syrup.

So gear up and indulge in some guilt free, high protein, delicacies with Calorie Kitchen. And they are very soon going to start baking their own breads. 😀

And don’t miss out on their hummus wrap, detox juices and protein punch salad.
