Summer menu at Fab Cafe

Fab Cafe

Local produce, indigenous grains, traditional Indian recipes, a very high health quotient and yet, delicious to boot. This pretty much sums up what you can expect at Fab Cafe. Enter to a vibrant space with one of @inkbucket’s beautiful murals donning the walls, and a menu planning the length and breadth of the country.
But it’s not just about Indian recipes, there are also smoothie bowls, ajwain croissant, tarts and shakes.

We started with an absolutely stunning iced coffee and cold brew. They also stock Atmosphere‘s range of Kombuchas.

Appetizers

Moong dal hummus with veggie crisps. Never, ever did I think that I would love something made out of moong dal post moong dal pakoris. This creamy moong dal hummus is every bit tasty and summer perfect. Paired with apple, bhindi and beetroot. The apple chips were absolutely novel and went so well with the hummus! I have previously tried the jackfruit flour spring onion and water chestnut momos at Fab Cafe. Such a refreshing change and the chicken ones were just as delectable. A special shoutout to the garlic and fresh coriander chutney along with the momos. Baked mutton samosa – chunky minced mutton, baked and served with garlic, tamarind and mint chutneys. This healthy version of the quintessential Indian snack is nothing short of binge worthy.

Mains

Our mains included some hearty Indian mains’ healthy versions. Started with Keto Chicken Biryani. I solely ordered this because it was so, so interesting. Minced cauliflower instead of rice, cooked with delectable pieces of chicken, light kewra water and finished off with fresh mint leaves. Dal Makhni, Kashmiri mutton and singhade ki roti. Ever had a dal makhni without any cream? Well, this was made without cream and boy did it still taste heavenly! The Kashmiri mutton curry was subtle and very well balanced. Hints of fresh rosewater heightened out experience.

Fab Cafe has some of the most interesting Indian recipes and fusion, healthy options. The hummus and momos are must have bites.
